Welsummer Club
About The Welsummer Club:
The Welsummer club was established in 1930 and exists to promote the Welsummer breed of poultry.
We are the only official club representing the Welsummer breed and we are affiliated to 'The Poultry Club of Great Britain'.
Our patron is His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales.
The club's objectives include to encourage and improve the breeding of Welsummers for utility purposes and to maintain the size and rich brown colour of the Egg which is so characteristic of the breed. We will render every possible assistance to members in connection with the breeding of Welsummer poultry.
Subscriptions are currently £10.00 per year, but this is subject to annual review. Upon joining the club, you will receive a copy of the yearbook and occasional newsletter.
Unfortunately, due to Avian Flu, many of the usual Show venues are cancelled this year.
The Welsummer Club Egg Show
is again held this year at the Royal Cheshire Show.
